Having lived in California for almost a decade I can tell you a trip along Route 101 boasts some of the most beautiful and breathtaking visuals you’ll find anywhere along the entire Pacific coast.  And maybe anywhere in the country.

And so when it was announced the 2012 U.S. Open would be returning to the Golden State and The Olympic Club in San Francisco I was absolutely thrilled.  The Olympic Club hasn’t hosted the U.S. Open since 1998.

As a golf fan who’s always searching for that perfect something to commemorate each of the majors, I did somersaults when I saw IJP Design would release a second limited edition “Golden State” putter cover to celebrate the U.S. Open at Olympic.

And with Father’s Day approaching and Graduation Days taking place across the country, this would also be a fantastic gift for the dad and grad dear to your heart.

Ian Poulter launched IJP Design in 2007.  And while his fresh and fun style certainly isn’t for everyone, no one can deny the contemporary and vogue Englishman carries the passion and substance of his golf game right into his clothing and apparel lines.

As IJP would say, “Look good, feel good, play good.”

The strikingly attractive 2012 U.S. Open Limited Edition putter cover has as much substance as it has style, and captures the charm and tradition of the 2012 U.S Open return to picturesque San Francisco.

The putter cover is named “Golden State,” and its stunning gold color features iconic San Francisco graphics and the American flag.  The covers are limited to only 500 covers and will be available in both mallet style and blade style versions.

Each cover will be individually signed and numbered with a special silver tag, and also include a red IJP Design ball marker with a handsome protective lined tote bag.

These limited edition covers are available at IJP Design at a price of $69.95 and are the second in a series commemorating all four majors in 2012.

“The first limited edition Masters putter cover was a real success for IJP Design and we are pleased to have developed both new mallet and blade style covers for the series,” said Mark Truby, Managing Director of IJP Design.

“Ian is looking forward to the U.S. Open at The Olympic Club, and this passion has come through in this truly unique putter cover design.”

And for golfers looking for a sneak preview about what’s ahead in this limited edition IJP putter line series?

You’ll be very pleased to know a third putter cover marking the Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St. Annes is already in the works!  Stay tuned for more first hand news as it becomes available.
